Easy removal or installation of Model A fuel shutoff valve from Model A gas tanks can be accomplished by procuring a 5/8 x 14 thread nut (NF) and hand wrench without damaging the threads. A quick, easy way to install: CAUTION! Do this outdoors and work just as well in a barbeque pit or stand. Place the ring pour some charcoal lighter fluid or some flammable solvent and ignite it. Be ready, when the box is just ashes and hot coals, remove caution - make sure you have the ring facing the correct direc- tion. Usually falls all the way on for me.
