It is with great pride, joy, and relief to announce that after seven years of tinkering around in my workshop that my AA truck is finally...fingers crossed, finished.
I would like to give thanks to the club in general for their help and guidance during this period but especially to Glenn Smith for all his mechanical help and advice not to mention the interesting stories he had to tell, without Glenn I am sure I would never have had the engine running again. His unending knowledge and skills never fail to amaze me.
Much thanks to Ron Rigby who has been my coach and motivator and for donning his super hero cape, appearing out of a cloudy morning mist, tool bag in hand ready to rescue a sticky valve and nurse it back to life and for guiding me through a complete valve service and tuning the engine to its best performance given that the engine is on the frail side of 91years old.
For it’s use given that she is an old lady, the odd putter around show N shines and appearances at heritage show events will be her future working life, along with photo sessions with many a small child sat at the wheel.
A most interesting seven years for me for which I have gained knowledge, patience and new skills.
My thanks to you all.
Andy Smith
