Greetings once again on behalf of each of the Members of your Host Committee for the 2003 Meet!
With our basic planning complete and our preparations in progress, the realization that more than 200 people have already registered (100+ family registrations) has stirred each of our Committee members to begin addressing all the minute details that must be dealt with to assure this year's Regional Meet is as successful as its 1983 and 1993 predecessors!
The Hubley track will be here, a pool party for the youngsters on the evening of the Awards Banquet is a distinct possibility, contact has been established with Ford's historical group, even the Bakersfield, California Chapter's "Henry 'A' Bear has a spot reserved, and in short - - instead of being concerned about attendance we are suddenly contemplating where we may have to draw the line! And speaking of registrations - - for our reader's convenience the Club has included a set of our "2003 Meet Information & Registration forms" in this issue of the Script. If you plan to participate, I would caution you not to wait until the last minute!
In essence, we can rest assured in excess of 400 Model A enthusiasts from everywhere West of Denver and North of San Diego will arrive on our doorstep in about 5 months - - complete with a set of expectations based on their 1983 and 1993 experiences, expectations possibly even enhanced a bit as the result of a decade's worth of reminiscing!
Our Club's pride is on the line so we had better be ready to give them their money's worth!
R.W. (Ron) Rigby Chairman, "Host Committee for the 2003 Northwest Regional Meet"
