Fun Day in High River

If you had an open car, it was winter coat and toque time. Otherwise, Saturday September 21 was sunny and a great day for a visit to High River. Nine members and a guest left a chilly Calgary in 5 Model As and were joined in High River by Don and Pat Neish who drove their '30 town Sedan in from Caley and Trevor Kemp and a guest who drove in with Trevor's A from Okotoks.

The occasion was an invitation to participate in the Sheppard Family Park Society's annual Threshing Bee. The Model As contributed to the old time setting which included tractors and other machinery as well as a quilting display and demonstration.

Most of the activity took place in a nearby field where the grain was harvested all day with a full compliment of horses and old time equipment.
